First off where do you get new O rings for this head since it doesn't have a gasket.
I currently have a 98 sj with pretty much R&D everything. I bought it that way for $2500. Not a bad deal. Only problem is it has a flame paint job... lol. But from what I gather it has a stock motor that I am porting and boring and putting some new pro-x pistons in. It also has an R&D head, pipe, ride plate, pump stuffer, waterbox, water injection, and an un known prop.
From what I can tell it has 35cc domes in the head. They have a "35" stamped in the side of them. I am building, or i should say rebuilding this for less go fast and more freestyle brapage. Is the 35cc domes a good cc for pump gas and should I stick with it? or should I get a higher compression and still be fine with 91 octane.
I also have a big crack in the bottom of the exhaust manifold I just noticed while doing the topend. I emailed R&D with a picture but I have gotten no reply. So I guess I will just weld it back up.
also this pulse line is capped off. does it not need to be hooked up to the carb? It just has one pulse line hooked to both carbs.
should I ditch the pump stuffer and run the intake grate and maybe a different prop for better thrust out of the water. I could care less on top speed it just needs to get me out of the water.
Thanks for your help!
