R&D dry pipe

Complete R&D dry pipe set up, pulled off of my Yamaha super jet. Pipe is complete and ready to be installed, removed it to keep the peace. Pipe was mounted on a Kawi at some point in time, hence the old brackets being cut off (not my doing).. still works great and will wake any ski up!

$800 shipped

This is one of if not the best pipe made for the yamaha
How do you think it compares to the Protec Mach 2? I have one but hate how it mounts. ( I am looking for high RPM peak power. I don't care about low or mid range)

Bearclaw, i am interested but want to do some research first. I see the manifold has been ground. Was it ground to match a ported cylinder?

I'm not completely sure how this pipe compares to the Protec, I'd have a hard time seeing another pipe making better power though. I'm sure there are a handful of guys on here that could chime in on this one though, I have only ever run a B-Pipe. I will say this pipe hit hard down low, but I believe that's a reflection of the Jetted water inlets and is tunable. As for the porting, it looks as if it was just cleaned up on the top edge, assuming to match a port. I had this on a stock cylinder.

These were the most expensive pipe at $1200 back in the day and on most race boats. You can always tell when this pipe was in a hull since you have to grind some of the hood opening just about back to the hood seal for clearance. In the beginning of freestyle, the Japanese used these pipes on their 1200 motors but they made a carbon chamber. For sure it's one of the best. One of my gurus preferred speedwerx tho. Protec is a heavy cast pos similar to coffman which adds 20 hp and 800$ for this pipe is fair. You'll get more topend out of it than that protec. This is a sponsored riders only version but you can barely see in the top left where the hull is shaved

NO Pipe…NOTHING makes more HP, Low end or peak rpms than the R&D Rev 2 Dry pipe …which is what this unit is… it IS the only pipe designed in collaboration with Dan Lamey(DASA) and Bill Chapin(R&D) specifically for Yamaha engines, fully capable for limited setups to 10+ stroker PV motors… the best Japanese freestylers, Factory Kawi and Yamaha race teams have run this pipe for ages..

Dry pipes don’t sell well anymore unless your in need for racing a vintage class and most guys in vintage have an old b pipe in their ski from 25- 30 years ago or moved to the 550 platform

Speedwerx pipe was actually the best but much more rare
