R and D chamber for blaster 1

I have been offered a used R and D chamber for $400 for my blaster 1. I'm not sure if this is a good deal or if an R and D chamber is a good choice. I'm starting to set up my blaster for free riding so I could use some advice. I'm also planning to purchase 701 quick steer and transom plate rear exhaust, wedge and hood shocks. I'm open to advice but cash is limited. (ride plate and intake gate, what prop) I live in Tokyo so shipping parts overseas gets expensive.

Sorry i dont know about the chamber... but if your on a low budget i would not spend the money on the 701 steering, you can do a quick steer mod yourself really easy. The rear exhaust, wedge and hood shocks are not things i would bother with. Exhaust, prop, bored nozzle, and a homemade quicksteer mod will be a good start to get you out having some fun jumping waves!

If you have any questions feel free to ask.:)

What's your version of the homemade quicksteer?

What are your recommendations on prop for free riding. Bore the stock nozzle? What about intake and ride plate. Does anyone have any pictures on how they modified their stock steering to make it quicker turning. Thanks Tzane. I use to drive to Forida each winter with the family. (Chevy Chase like) we would drive from Toronto to Key Largo non stop.

Tzane, I have explained on this post about surf mods to a Blaster to make them a better freestyle ski in the surf. I think how you have told the OP your recommendations about all the stuff he wants to get and you didn't have a answer for what he was asking, you should explain your opinions a bit better. Do you own a blaster. Love to see a pic of it. Just saying about not needing a Surf Wedge tells me a lot of what you know or rather how much you don't know. All the people that were thinking about modding their Blaster for the surf, don't have to now, because your going to fill us all in on your vast experience. cant wait

Your post is #6. Yet you said "I have explained on this post about surf mods to a blaster...........", Yet I do not read where you have said anything about mods to be done other than trying to put Tzane down some..... He voiced some generalized mods to be done...... No, he did not go into detail on how to do them, Nor have you........

R&D use to make some good stuff. If your fine with the price, You are still better off than stock. Honestly, People say Protec pipes are junk, but there use to be plenty of racers that had really fast ski's running them. It is more in the tuning and overall package...... Hit up ScottieMac, he knows more about Blasters engine setups than anybody around.

A hooker 10/16 should give you some good all around preformance. A lot of guys run 9/15's and it does provide alot of bottom but i like some top end too. To me freeride isnt just about bottom end. Boring the reduction nozzle out on the pump allows more water to flow. Ill take some pics for you to get a better idea about the quick steer mods but it will be a couple days. Im out of town right now.

Chill out man, i would never talk bad about your products. I think they are beautiful! Its just for a guy on a budget, money could be spend else where for bigger gains. Throwing a big money steering system on a low budget ski just doesnt add up to me. There are easy ways to gain steering improvments without spending any money. As far as what i have, i dont have to prove poop to you. Your sportsman ship tells us alot about you.

Not mine, its just one i found on google but you get the idea. I like to use a coffee can get a pattern. You can always cut the half circle bigger but you cant add any back so keep that in mind.

This mod helps get the nose up and gives you a little more pop when jumping waves. I would cut a cheap stocker up.
