Super Jet quick question

I'm trying to install some primer fittings in my carbs. I'm going to use a 1/8 drill bit my question is do I need some type of epoxy like jb weld or could I use red loctight?

Hold on there bro!....

What exactly are you doing?

Are you drilling out the stock brass "blockers" that cover the needle adjustments?
If you have removed the choke shaft, you should not need a drill at all to install the fittings needed. (mikuni?)

Art forgot to install the primer fittings on my black jacks. He told me to drill out the side boss on the carbs with an 1/8 drill bit. I just need to know if red lock tight will work to hold the fittings in or do I need jb weld or some type of epoxy.

Don't know much about black jacks, but with mikuni it's a "press-in" fit. I guess it wouldn't hurt to use some type of sealer, but, I can't imagine that a tiny airleak at the primer point would cause any trouble. It's always nice to be able to get it out if you need to.
Again....zero experience with black jacks.

Dont use red loctite. You can use JB weld. After drilling just coat the fitting with JB weld and slide it in. Then with a toothpick or something, I like to build up a tiny bit around the fitting. Let dry overnight.

The fact that the primer fittings were not installed and now they are would have no effect on how the motor runs on the bottom end. Take up Matt E on his offe, he has dealt with plenty of ski's along with Arts carbs/motors that I'm sure he can help you figure it out.

I realize that. The motor ran really terrible on the low end well before I did the primer fittings. I don't work a typical work schedule like most people and on top of that I go to school full time. When ever I do get time to ride that's what I want to do...... not screw around at the dock all day. That being said I'm going to try a few things out tomorrow and if it doesn't work out some "pro" is going to make some bucks off of me.

I have some ngk plug boots coming to me hopefully this week.

Is it a good idea to add some dielectric grease to the boots before I screw them on and zip tie them? Also should I add a little silicone where the wire meets the boot to keep moisture out?
