Super Jet Quick question for superjet guys

Ok. I'm new to Yamaha jet ski, been doing kwaks for years. But I have a quick question. I'm buying a Solas magnum pump from a guy off a 2003 superjet. Will it fit my 1991 superjet?

you should be fine. 96 and later SJs need a spacer ring.
do some searching on the S.O.L.@$$ pump
it is not without issues

It is worth the issues if you buy from a reputable seller - JetManiac, Watcon, and others check all the tolerances before they make any sales.

I'm buying a used one for $520 plus a Solas big hub impeller, Solas stainless wear ring. Should I use the driveshaft out of the 2003 as well or just use my 1991 driveshaft?

Does a Solas pump assembly (when matched with the right impeller and pitch for your engine, ext). Does it offer a lot more hookup, bottom end, and faster speeds?? Obviously not a huge top end gain, but if it doesn't significantly decrease cavitations and improve bottom end pull and hookup, what would be the point in spending the big bucks on it.
