Quick question about turf

Well i gotta order some turf for my 550 soon and i was looking on their site and they offer an option "with PSA". Should i get that or can i use a cheaper method to attach the turf? i also want to turf my rails since they are in rough shape, would 1 40x62" sheet be wnough for the tray and rails?

also they sell hood seals for 550s for like 18 bucks, is that kinda high or should i just get it? i ripped mine off last night since it was dry rotted from probably 20 years or use without being changed.

Also, my old turf had the hydroturf logos on both rails, how can i get more of these? I was hoping to get a couple whitye ones for my rails and a red one for our boat. And do i have to cut the turf to make room for them? It looks like my old turf was the js550 kit and im just ordering a sheet or two now.

The PSA is not the preferred method for skis. It's ok for smaller pieces, like mats on couches, but doesn't seem to hold up as well as the glue.

The hood seal is priced good, and fairly decent quality

The only way to get the HT logos is to order a kit that has them cut out, or order an extra sheet of turf in each color and make them yourself. ( too much trouble)

Use DAP Weldwood, the original red label. That's the same stuff Hydroturf tries to overcharge you for. Just make sure you don't get that hippie green-label stuff.


I'm not sure about the 550, but their SJ hood seals aren't anywhere near as good as the OEM seal.
