Quick Hello

Just wanted to say hi, My mate directed me to this site, hes on here somewere (really hard to find good ski forums on the net) my names Al and I ride in Jersey CI in the UK

Ive got a Blaster 701, that Ive had for two years now, love it and its perfect for the local waters here in Jersey, its all standard bar a set of UMI bars, we resprayed it last year and another mate did the graphics (still think it needs something else but dont know what ?? ) pics dont really do it justice as the paint changes colour.

Got one problem and thats that I have an intermitant missfire, out of the 6 times Ive been out its only run ok once, was gutted today as there was a big swell and it did its normal trick of droping on to one cylinder and not revving out, gona wing a new CDI in it tommorow and see how we go. Already changed everything else:frown:

before you change out the CDI trim your spark plug wires back......and welcome



could you also post a little better pictire of those handlebars yo have welded to your trailer? thats a good idea....

My mates on here as Shepster, unfortunatly for him hes a Marine Tech so hes been working on my ski non stop trying to get in sorted, to date we have done a full strip and rebuild including new pistons, rings, gaskets, seals bearings etc, also took the kill switch apart and cleaned it all up, next we changed out the coil and fitted new caps..

Only thing we can think of is the CDI, (can take these things apart in mins now) got a spare so gona stick that in and see how it goes, cant go out tommorow now anyway after J's put a hole in the crank case

Ill have to post the pic tommorow, I think there BMX bars, trailer used to be Shepsters so he might know what they are..

Il sort that cdi tmz, had enough of skis for today:banghead:
We have tried and tested everything else, the cdi seems to be the only thing left. Worth a try anyway, might get you back on the water before me:frown:

That sounds similar to how my oem CDI failed last month. It was one I had modded to disable the rev limiter.
