Quick glass question.....

Installing footholds in a new ski..... do I have to remove all blue paint where I'm glassing or is just sanding down to remove the "shine" good enough? :dunno:

Don't want to have issues if I leave a little paint and it doesn't bond but also don't want to sand for another 1hr. :rocketwhore:

remove it the best you can to be safe.

I used a lower grit (under 100) to take off paint and create a nice bitey surface

for the glass to bond with.

I have a random orbital sander with 50 grit...... still takes awhile to remove all the blue.... just wondering if it needs to be down all the way to the glass.
