Blaster Questions about WB1, what to look for, pricing, etc.

I'm going to look at two wave blasters this weekend
One is a 93, and the other is a 94.

What should I look out for?
I'm new to WB1's, haven't even rode one yet but I'm thinking about buying both

I'm going to run a compression check on both and look for issues with the hull... what else should I be looking for?

Now for pricing... lets say these are average skis, pretty well kept, run good, look about 8 out of 10... whats a fair market value I should expect to pay.... or what could I sell them for if I wanted to keep one and sell the other?

Any help or links would be appreciated

Pricing will depend on your area. But as stated check compression. And for spark. Reach down and turn the midshafy when the plugs are out and turn over the motor by hand. You can feel any clunks or stiffness this way that you couldn't be able to tell when using the started. If pump Nd engine feel ok, and there's spark and compression, the rest is kinda minor details and cosmetics. Look down the back of the pump at the impeller for nicks and chunks missing, good luck

Good idea about turning the motor over by hand with the plugs out... never did that before on any of my skis. Should have been doing that every time, lol. Thanks for posting

might take a peak at the pump shoe......seen quite a few of them missing chunks/cracked or the intake grate installed with wood screws lol. $1000 to $1500 seems to be a fair price around here, depending on what's on it.

All excellent tips above. I bought a 93 second/third hand and though it's minor sounding, my first rides were plagued by the loose inlet/outlets on the water box that leaked exhaust fumes into the engine compartment. Not enough of a problem to not buy the boat but worthy of a spot check and mental note.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I checked out the waveblasters this weekend and ended up picking both of them up... I now understand I have an addiction to jet skis. (2 WB1, 1 X2, 1 RN SJ)
This is really the last of the jet skis I haven't owned yet I have a true interest in...

We'll see how this summer goes, if I like em I was planning either painting them or wrapping them.

Now for mods.... let the searching begin

Good news is 1 had 145/150 compression and the other 155/160 compression
Pump shoes good, all normal bolts holding in grate/plate, engines/pumps turn over very very smooth with the plugs out.
1 Prop is perfect, the other has a few dings
