I have a few years old Thrust scupper that has a worn out rubber flap.Thrust does not carry the flaps anymore,so wondering what will work in place of it??

Any ideas or help

I pattern off old ones and use .090 commercial rubber roofing to make replacements, been working great for many different brands of scuppers.

Using exacto knife for diameter and coring hole punches for small screw holes

Has anyone tried to use Viton rubber sheet for scupper flaps? The material is pretty damn expensive but it has an "excellent" chemical resistance rating in salt water, gasoline, and most oils. It's the only seal material I'll use now that come in contact with fuels and the stuff seems bulletproof. Not sure how it would hold up to the physical abuse the scuppers see but it seems to be about the same durometer and strength as the regular cheap rubber sheet normally used. I've got some 0.064" thick material if anyone wants to give one a shot. If it works out I could probably make a punch instead of hand cutting them, or have some waterjetted.

I ordered a 12"x12" sheet of 1/8" thick Buna-N rubber on Ebay for $6.50. Replaced 2 on a guy's superjets a few summers ago. They just returned to my shop for a tune up and the flaps still look good.
