Custom/Hybrid Question about waterproof connections

Its a bit of a pain having to pull out the ebox with the motor since the one bunch of wires that runs from the ebox to the flywheel doesnt have any sort of connection to separate it at. Has anyone cut the wires and spliced in something that comes apart quicker and it waterproof? Id like to know what I would need if i wanted something like this but have no clue where to look or what to look for. If anyone has done this or similar hook me up with some info

I cut them and put weather pack connectors in there. Never had a problem

I found 5pin weatherpacks for under 5$ on ebay a while ago. Perfect for the stator

What do you use to install it? I have a soldering iron and some crimpers but im not sure what these connectors use

i have ben running the weatherpack connectors in nothing but salt water for 10 years now they work great.

that's the one I used. Solder connections. Technically you need a special crimp tool for the connections but if your careful you can so it with standard crimps.

so you can just solder the weatherpack pins? That seems like a much better way to make a good connection than just crimping them.
