Question about stock superjet spring

Can someone please look at these pictures and tell me if this spring looks
OK to you? This is the spring off the 2000 Superjet I bought a few
weeks ago (I assume this is a stock spring).

I don't know how much good a stock Superjet spring is SUPPOSED to do,
but if I drop the pole on this ski, it hits the hood as if there wasn't even
a spring in there...WHAMMO!

If they are ALL like that, then the Superjet spring S U C K S !!!!!!

I'm just wondering if this one is stretched or something? Seems to me
like the long and short ends of this spring should be a little closer together
so it has a little more tension.

When I took it off, the LONG end was in the mounted bracket and short
end was in the pole. I assume that's right....it looks like that is the
only way it fits.

What do ya think?

Gasgas bought the Blowsion spring, and it did not fix his problem much. He later found out the stock pole pad was waterlogged!:banghead: :banghead:

The stock spring dosen't do to much, I have a square with a round pole and no spring and a 01 with a spring and theres not much differance, I put a blowsion spring and a blowsion pad on my 99 and it's lighter and doesn't come down so hard, it's just the way they are. that spring is stock and installed right

I have a Blowsion one. I removed the OEM pole pad and turfed the plastic. I also bended the spring to get some tension. Now it works like a charm. It is a bit more tricky to install, but actually works now!

The waterlogged pad was not his problem...if he has a blowsion one and his pole hits the hood when he lets it go there is something wrong. Blowsion had a bad run of these springs and tried to catch them all before they went out, some did (I had one of them) I was pissed because it didnt work at all. Email John at Blowsion he sent me another free of charge and this thing is TIGHT, it actually forces the pole up when I let it go. I gave my pole bolt a light crank and now it pretty much stays where I let it go. You will know if your spring is good (blowsion one) the stock ones like everybody says, suck.

mine gets waterlogged too and really weighs the pole down. i have the blowsion spring and when i first put it on it actually held the pole about half an inch from the hood. now it is broken in and not as strong. i am thinking about taking my pole pad cover off and then removing the foam. then replace the foam with hydroturf....sand to shape and reinstall pad cover. that should keep it from getting waterlogged.

No foam in mine just turf and the pole stands half way up all the time. I have to push it down and it springs back up.
