question about int. shaft bearing

if one were to be seized up and the ski was run anyway, what happens?

does it spin out the vulcanized seal? does the ski sink? previous experiences or just theoretical opinions welcome.

I have seen the stub shaft shear just behind the coupler.

bearing housing will turn and break loose from rubber and water will leak in when you stop or the pump will cavitate when you run.
usually stays put as it's sandwiched between motor and pump shaft
