Super Jet Question about a oem rn pole rquestion

I purchase another RN oem pole and cut it down to shorten it. Now come to find out after mounting it. The actual top base is shorter and the steering cable doesn't work being that the top base is about 2+ inches shorter after measures the two. Question is what steering cable do i use??? A 96+ cable doesn't work.

You mustave gotten an 08+ pole...
They run a shorter cable with less throw :/

You're going to run into trouble at the pump end with the 08 cable

Take the Top piece off your original pole and fit it to the one you cut down otherwise its all going to get complicated.
You can run a 96+ cable on a 08+ pole but you will have to fabricate a mounting bracket and its a bit of a hassle.

I guess the mount of the cable in the pump tunnel on the 08+ is different to then
