How much sealer and paint does it typically take to paint a ski?

I use Single Stage Urethane, 1 quart will do the job........ but each paint reduces differently, with Base Coat/Clear Coat, I believe a quart reduces alot more (will cover more than singestage paint will)

Ok....I'm looking into paint and did not know how much to get. I was on HOK site and just for grins looked at the Kameleon paints $420.00 a quart :bigeyes: Someone told me they were expensive but damm

for your XJet, might be worth it, but I would not go there on your Sq. Nose!!!!

I just bought 2 quarts (Red/Grey), Hardener (Had some reducer) for $100.00 of Dupont Nason Series Singlestage Urethane.......... It cheap and durable.

I am leaning towards just doing the bottom. The square is a 1990 and the underside is really showing signs of wear. A little sanding, filler, sealer, paint and clear should do the trick. Not worried about paint on the x-jet, that will be all gelcoat

painting the bottom is just stupidddddd. It'll get scratched no matter what you do.

Go for it.......... I started to spray the bottom of mine, but with 2 weeks to finish painting, I chose to save the time!!!!!!!!

Were not talking about high quality stuff............its like 40 bucks a gallon.......not a pint.......a gallon. Plus.......my squarenose ROCKS :woot: :biggrin:

I would consider doing the bottom singlestage, seams a little more durable............
