Brad Scott put this video together from the QFWA Showdown Freeride event down here on the gold Coast in Australia.
I am currently there working at Sea World at the Jet Stunt Extreme show with Lee stone and Mike Ratti and others.
This contest was right across the street from sea world at the spit.
The event was full with 30 riders, however thanks to the guys at the event and my friends including Luke Rotolone who let me ride his Carbon Trinity Matrix, I was able to get a few rides in during some of the ride heats. About one minute in there is a great slow mo shot of the Scarecrow barrel roll that I threw off a small wave in the sickest trick heat.
Because of the permit restrictions the event was not held as a contest but it was put together really well and it was a fun event to be apart of and watch.
Nick Barton came down fresh from his trip to Oceanside with Zack Bright. Lee Stone came down as well and put on half of my gear and got airborne on spotos rickter.
Its been a great experience so far but definitely been busy at the same time.
This place is awesome and the surf hasn't been good and its still incredible.
