Custom/Hybrid Q8 SXR build

I got my first aftermarket hull, I'm swapping parts from a stock 2011 SXR.

The first thing I did was put my new bars and RRP steering on, waiting on parts for pump and engine.

Installed breather tubes

Got my motor mount plates so I got to work on the engine, installed my new factory wet pipe manifold and headpipe and put the engine in the ski

Made an aluminum ebox bracket, bolted it into the bulkhead.

Modified my stock reduction nozzle to use ultra 150 trim ring and nozzle and welded in a splitter.

Mounted throttle grips and made a start stop plate to go in the middle of my bars

cool build man...you will absolutely love it. swannysxr I did the same thing with our SXR drivelines. You will be shocked at how much more powerful your motor will feel.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Finished her up yesterday, epoxied battery box in and caulked the pump and intake grate in.
I went with a WPS featherweight 490-2514. Sooo light compared to the stock battery. Only $143.00

Is this an eme hull or an ltd hull.

good question, now that you mention it those footholds look a little weird.

and the handle pole bracket is not polished, its raw aluminum and doesnt have the proper threaded bolt holes

I wonder how that monster turn nozzle will perform.

The ID of the nozzle is actually slightly smaller than the stock sxr nozzle, and I welded a splitter in, i can always buy another nozzle cheap and get it bored.

And it's a nice hull, the inside is clean, footholds are huge though but I haven't rode it yet, I'll probably put rickter holds in over the winter. Nothing to complain about. The hood is so light it's ridiculous, I'll weigh it tomorrow to get an RTR weight I think it'll be around 250 dry

Lets see how it holds up. Is that hood broken already. Looks like theres a chunk out of it at the front edge.

There's a little part broke off on the rear right side, I dropped something on it, and the front has some marks on it like it scraped on aluminum. Maiden voyage is gonna be this weekend so well see
