Freestyle Q8 alignment way off.

I'm helping a guy put together a q8 and the alignment is just so far off.
The previous owner had it straight and he has a build thread. (Picture attached) he was using the same motor mounts and the same 61x blaster motor. His looks great. For me the motor is sitting way high.. (Picture attached).

I have the mid shaft bearing pushed all the way up and the motor mounts pushed out all the way and this is still how far off it is.
I could grind some off the bed plates, but not that much.

Is your midshaft flat against the bulkhead or is the driveshaft angled up?

I thought your pump side was on the left and if it was that usually isn't a bad fix.. Had that on my rip and it was due to adjusting my nozzle a bit so the rear tabs didn't touch the hull before it was dead center(was fine with stock stator, mag threw the nozzle off a little) . I'm not familiar with kawi pumps whatsoever. If it's similar to Yamaha I don't think you can just shim it up because it'll put the whole coupler at an odd angle..

If you loosen the midshaft bearing, there's quite a bit of adjustment there. Did you remove that as part of the build? You can also shim the pump to adjust the position of the coupler.

Yeah its loose right now.. I think I can play with the pump/shaft/motor angle a bit, if not i'll start grinding the bed plate
