at the rate they are going they should just do away with pwctoday and move every thing to the sbt forums since that is what they are trying to mirror it to.

I used to like it there but now it seems like they lost fucas On what most of us are about ??? and that is haveing a good time with less to no bull $hit and if we wanted to hear people bitch we would start lisening to our wives:biggthumpup:

i have to say, i like your site, it is certainly better, less controling, less hostile, but i still have to go to pwctoday for most of my help... i feel very very small here, considering ive only had my 650 SX for a year now and most of the frequenters of these boards are seasoned veterans, also there is almost nowhere for me to post for tech help on my ski, becuase as far as i can tell all of you guys have friggen superjets!! haha. i dont mean to bash the site at all, i LOVE this place, but i have to say i feel more comfortable asking for help at PWCTODAY than i do here, i guess im intimidated by you guys. hahaha no offense

That's a shame: everyone here is happy to help with anything (even a 650 SX :27: ) The more questions people ask the more we'll build this site up as a tech resource like PWCT used to be. Even some of the old timers need help every now and then

Don't be intimidated, most of us started riding on other skis. I started on a 440 with a pipe/head/impeller, bumped that up to a 550 with total loss, moved to a SXi, and finally to my SJ. You'd be surprised how much we collectively know about skis of all types.

Also, if you show up at a ride with your 650, you'll be just as welcome as anyone else, seriously.

Do we need another forum? What kind of questions?

i appreciate the responses, and i dont know if this merits another forum... the vintage skis section is a valuable resource on pwctoday that allows me to talk to people (or used to, that place seems to be dead now) about older skis without annoying the ppl in the Kawi forum with our aged ski problems, also that forum had some good experts almost always lurking that would help with almost anything. i appreciate the invite to a ride, however from maine its quite a drive to nearly anywhere, (look me up on the user map, you'll see just how far) but eventually i do intend on showing up, just hopefully on something better than my 650 SX.

HAHA why be intimidated most the old timers remember when the 650sx was the "hot new setup" or the new monster, it was a little b4 my time though. I started on a 440-550-650-750 then moved & sold everything but the orig. 440 (you always remember your first love.) Picked up a SJ after getting settled here. Now its time to start collecting skis again. Go ahead ask people questions I bet a lot of guys still have 650 goodies in boxes just begging to get put back on a ski.

that sight went down hill quick. like the show survivor.sbt and pwc has to have a merge. and whats up with how offensive they get over peoples opinion. i almost bought a 750 crank from them last year. after seeing how they talk to maybe customers. id never buy anything from those guys. id pay more just to boycot.customer relationships sucks.

y'know im glad i brought this up, i will start to move my questions to this site from now on, becuase as i stated above, i do like it here, it is mch more pleasant, i just dont want to annoy the "locals" with my vinatge questions. hahahaha, thanks tho guys, you've made this a lot easier... its nice to have a friendly forum with even a friendly ADMIN.

Maine Coast - I hear ya. I just got a 750sx and I've only had my X2 for a year. I'm only going on my third season of riding PWC and I just keep learning more - but have barely touched the tip of the iceberg. I read through the threads here and 80% of it is like Greek to me. But these are good guys here. You won't find flaming here - just support and camaradarie. It's a much different culture and I don't hesitate posting dumb questions...

I think PWCToday lost a lot of its experts to this site. Their loss...

I have my 650sx. I love it. I will never get rid of that ski. One of my first that i still have. just ask away.

Zig i agree with your request, im not pushing hard for it, it was just a recommendation, i think it would help organize a lot of the posts and promote even better tech archiving. but its all up to superjett, i agree with his policies and how he runs this place, and it seems to work well. im also glad to hear that many of you have more older skis in the garage and can lend a hand when needed... thanks guys
