Super Jet Purchase or not (damaged hull)

came accross this reasonably clean 1996 Superjet with the exception of some right side bottom deck damage. I do plan on pulling the motor and reinforcing the front end, but would like input from others as to their thoughts on the extent of the damage. Do you think reinforcing will remedy the damage or is this ski gonna be a serious problem in the future? Thanks for any input.

Thats nothin. Reinforce it from the inside with 17 oz. biax and slap a set of blowsion destroyer tubbies on it. It will be good as new.

If all you do is ride the lake then I wouldn't even bother with much of any of that. Some real light reinforcement will be just as good. maybe 8 oz. cloth.

quick and easy fix bro. Best I can tell from pics. You will be in an aftermarket hull before its and issue LOL.

I keep saying that too, but a big motor makes a heavy OEM superjet hull a ton of fun. Plus it's a lot cheaper when I crack it in half.(which I'm getting pretty good at)

I have yet to see an aftermarket hull that will take the abuse I have been giving my reinforced OEM in the surf. I feel like I would have to reinforce an aftermarket hull to make it hold up.
