FX-1 Pump Vibrations...

Got nasty pump vibrations going on... I know I sucked up a biiiig rock and it even killed the motor when i went through. However it fired right up and ran good for the race but when I went out for a ride today it just was vibrating like crazy. Im assuming its my pump bearings or a bent impeller? Where do you guys get pump parts for these?

take the pump out and see what it looks like.

I had a vibration I couldn't identify until I pulled the motor for something else. saw that the only thing holding my midshaft in place was the driveshaft. no bearings or seals left what so ever in the midshaft. now I know why I was taking on water while just sitting there.

not gonna know until you start pulling stuff apart.

Do I need a drive shaft holder and impeller removal tool?

the pump will slide out with the driveshaft still attached

stock fx pump parts are plentiful....just post up in the WTB section and you will have lots of choices!

reason being is that alot of fx owners do pump swaps with either a superjet 144mm pump or a kawi 650 140mm pump

I've got about 4-5 complete pumps and driveshafts and 6-7 S.S. impellers.
HOWEVER, pull the pump out, and turn the driveshaft and impeller by hand. I'm betting that will tell you exactly where you are at. Check the splines, too.

Well I took the entire pump out and nothing... It looks great. The impeller looks rough but nothing is bent or broken. I took the cone off and the bearings look great, the shaft is solid and wont move in and out. I guess I will work my way to the motor.

Well I restate my claim. Looking at the impeller one part of it is cracked out and peeled back about a 1/8". Anyone know a cheap fix or have any cheap impeller for sale? Im looking at the pump swap this winter which is just right around the corner.
