Super Jet Pump seal assembly order - how do you do it?

Historically I've fully assembled my driveshaft, stator section and bearings. At that point I grease up my pump seals with water proof grease, slide them down over the driveshaft and "TRY"to press them down into the front of the stator section.

Problem is I use sealed bearings (3 bucks on eBay) and I don't believe they allow air to pass. Point is, with the heavy water proof grease, it's a PIA to get them to seat deep in the nose of the stator.

I'm thinking of putting the seals in after I've cooked in the front bearing in the stator and then press the driveshaft and rear bearing through the stator, front bearing and grease packed pump seals.

Thoughts or the way you go about it (keep in mind I'm using sealed bearings)?

Chuck the shaft in the freezer for an hour.

Pop the seals in while the housing is warm then press shaft in.

Should pretty much just fall in.

Did you pop the seals out of those ebay bearings and pack them with grease? I use ebay bearings on the snowmobiles all the time but I always pop the seals and repack them cause China is usually very skimpy on the grease and they fail fast on the sleds if you don't repack them. You may just be better off leaving the seals off the bearings in this application since that's how they normally are in a pump.

That was my plan. My only thoughts were:

After I press the grease packed seals into the nose of the stator, do I have to throw the whole stator back in the oven to warm it up again and what will that do to the rubber seals or the grease? I wonder at what temp grease starts to liquify?

Also, when I pull the frozen driveshaft from freezer, condensation instantly forms. Is there any issue with pushing that frozen moisture through the grease seals?

Your over thinking it a bit.

Shaft in freezer, warm housing, fit seals dry or spray WD.

Wipe grease in seals and on shaft, knock or press in.
