Pump Cone or no Pump cone!? That is the question

Ok, I know most people run a pump cone, Art at Jetworks told me I shouldn't need it, but I was wondering what guys who have run both think? also I think I saw that Wammer and a new designed one?

My set up is ada head, b pipe, reeds, enhancer, 13/17.

It depends on your setup. It's just another tuning tool to make a slight improvement.

bore the nozzle AND try the pump cone, mine worked well on a nozzle bored MORE than stock, but didnt as well on a nozzle bored more than that.

its simply one more adjustment to be made.

OK-these crackers are killin me w/the info they are NOT sharing w/u.

Wet wolfe stubby cone+85mm bored exit nozzle =awesome low end snap/hit.

If u do one w/o the other, u r pissing up a rope!!! I have tried every combo know to man kind using a oem pump and my favorite by far is the ww cone and a exit nozzle bored to 85mm on a set up identical to yours!

That is exactly what set up I have and I think it works fine, but I mentioned what I had to Art@JetWorks and he suggested that I take out the WW cone and put the OEM cone back on and try that. He thinks I am loosing some pressure using both and it will give more hit. So that is what i'm gonna try next. Then after that i have TBM super pump cone that I am gonna try.
Currently I have a Skat Swirl 12/17 cut back 7mm.

I know some here say one or the other, but not both.. What works for some may not work for others due to engine parameters, impellor type/pitch, body weight, etc. All you can do is keep testing and find out what works best fo you and yur set-up...

BTW - My local machine shop bored my nozzle for $30.

waste your time trying to make a TBM work. Don't get me wrong-I think Tim makes awesome stuff at fair prices that work great----FOR RACING---- anyway-thats just my 2 cents-I spent 4 months 'tuning' around my TBM-ditched it and fixed my ski(the Lamey 5mil ski). If u get bored and wanna further discuss the TBM nightmare-feel free to call me-256-339-7338.

Thanks gil. Next season I plan on adding thrust inovations trim system.. the full set up, do you guys know if its a bored nozel?


I have Thrust straight pull trim and NO-the nozzle he sends is not at 85mm-more like 82mm 'ish. He can bore it for u b4 he ships it out.

Aw man, you got me all bummed out now about my TBM super pump cone now Gil.
I will take you up on that offer and call you sometime soon to talk about it..

W/the TBM in my ski it felt as if I had tennis balls stuck in my exhaust hose's. It felt as if my motor could not breathe. I assume it was due to the TBM 'overloading' the pump??? All I know is I ditched the TBM and it ran like it has never run before, -AWESOME-
