Super Jet Protec trim problem

Hey guys,
I have a brand new pro tec trim kit my buddy gave me for working on his ski.
I installed the kit, everything went fine, I set it up to trim up when I pulled the lever. But now after a couple hard pulls on the lever the cable seems to have stretched already. So much that I'm out of adjustment. Brand new everything, hasn't seen water yet and I'm not getting all the throw now.
Any ideas what I did wrong or if this happened to anyone else?
The cable had to be adjusted all the way just to get it to work the first time, now it stretched before ever going to the lake.

Also, do people put a softer spring on these kits? It's a hard pull.

If the trim kit is set up to trim down, the cable length is perfect I think, just for trim up it seems to be too long.

Hope I don't already need a new cable.

I ran one for a while, It is a harder pull, but will be much easier in water. My cable stretched too, just adjust it and go have fun riding!

Just take the spring off. When you're riding, the water naturally makes the nozzle go down. The spring just makes it even harder to pull.
And doubt your cable stretched. Your brackets might not have been tight and moved, or the ends weren't fully seated and as you pulled the lever a few times, they all fell into place. If that's the case and you have no more adjustment available, you might have a cable that's too long....

Yeah I don't have any more adjustment.
The cable is brand new with the kit, I wouldn't think it would be too long. If it is, where would I get a shorter one? Protec only sells that one.
I'll check all the brackets tonight. I don't think they moved since I lock tighted every bolt on the bracket but I'll still check.
I can see maybe it was the ends weren't seated or something. I plan on finding a weak spring. Idk how I feel about no spring at all.. I'll try it, but if not I'll go to the weak spring.
