Prop Recomendation

Hello everyone

Just received my motor back from team scream

They built me a baby scream package which is a 736cc motor. I had them port and epoxy my cases, cylinder porting, ada girdled head with custom cut domes (still running pump gas), my B pipe I had them do the mod were they bore the head pipe and manifold bigger, had there stinger mod done, had them bore my pump nozzle, lightened factory flywheel, im running a msd enhancer, jet worxs flow valve, and i think that's it.

I want the boat to have a bad ass bottom end punch. I don't care to much about speed. I mainly jump waves and do minor freestyle tricks, subs, hood tricks, etc, but hopeing to learn more this year with my new motor.

What prop do you guys think I should run for how I describe my riding style and what im looking for?

Response I got from Radney about props with Baby Scream:

Props you will probably be around a 12/17 Skat or 13/17 solas and possibly a nozzle bore. We tried a couple of the hooker props and had no luck with them I know some people swear by them, but they didn't work out for us.

That's pretty much the first review of a hooker prop I've ever heard that wasn't "it's the best thing ever". There was one other review saying it was only slightly better but certainly no one saying it's not very good.

I have both hookers a 10/16 on my ported 760 and a 11/17 on TS 771 ..

I have heard positive and negative, the 10/16 hits the spot and I had a 13/16 before and would not go back..as for the 11/17 i have not tested it yet, but I received the same recommendations from Radney on the above mentioned thread. I will be more than happy to post my experience. Dave is a very good guy to work with and if you are not happy with the impeller there are possibilities...

Which pitch did you try ? and which non-hooker did you end up with ?

alright guys well my boat is almost done with paint. I need to turf it and install the motor and buy a prop still. So im thinking of gooing with the skat 12-17. I probaly will just order one new from impros. Should I have the prop cut back at all. What is the pros and cons to having this done.

The pros of cutback is better performance because the water comes straight off the props trailing edge and into the stator ring. Unfortunately, the smaller also means if you suck up a big rock, you're more likely to jack up the prop and stator instead of just the prop.

I have the EXACT same motor set up. What carbs? Chuckie set up my 38's for me, but this year I switched to 44's. Made a nice improvement. You will love your motor.

I run a 13/16 Concord cut back with shorty cone and slightly bored nozzle. Haven't tried any other props to compare, but my set up seems to hook up great.

Yea im running the stock 38's for now. I cant wait to fire the thing up. I just need a prop and I think thats it. Wanna make sure im getting the right one ya know.
