i have a sn superjet w/ 61x 701, 180 psi head. msd enhancer, coffmans pipe, r d scoop and k n. for freestyle would a solas concord 12/17 be a good pitch? wondering because i can get a good deal on one

Yes that is a good impeller even better if you get a good deal.

Most people prefer the Hooker impeller from Impros over the solas concord and that's probably why you can get a good deal on it. Depending on the deal, it may or may not be worth it.

for a 61x 701, i really dont think it would make a huge difference between brands -solas vs impros. a 12/17 concord or swirl is fine if its in good shape and cheaper than new.

I've ridden both and chose to spend $280 on a hooker impeller over a decent used concord for less than half of that...and I'm a tight-wad.

Your best bet is you read up on this though. Do a search on "hooker" and you can come to your own conclusion.

The concorde will need some load removed to be ideal. Otherwise they work very well.

The lowest pitch Concorde (13-17) loads 701-760s a little too much for best thrust. The trailing edge of the blade needs to be reflexed a little. This gets the rpm up for better response and power. You can send it to Impros or do it yourself with a soft jaw vise and hammer.
