Anybody know what are the real specs for the oem big hub prop after 2008? I am using this prop, has very strong top end, and a very good hookup, but It seems I am spinning it with my limited motor (I heard the prop is 13/16) so even a good limited should not spin it to rev limiter so quickly... maybe its not rev limiter but cavitation...darn problems fine tuning my ski... anybody knows the max clearance on the wear ring in oem 144 yami pump?

Thanks for all info - I am loosing thrust / or spinning the prop and need to find the cause...

Not sure on the pitch exactly but i heard it was 13/16 too. Also heard it was similar to a hooker 9/15 with slightly less low end but more top end.

Looking inside my pump, the clearance is very small around the wear ring. Would be tough to even slide a piece of paper between the prop and ring. Are you running a mag pump? I have the Solas SS Mag pump in my ski with the stock big hub prop and it works perfect. What pump cone are you using? Do you have a bored nozzle?

I have a similar setup as yours, but my gap is much wider (ordered a new wear ring), my oem prop was cutback -3mm (had to use to washers). I am using the large pump cone that came with the solas mag. My nozzle is at 84mm. I have way too much top end and cavitation - taking the ski apart anyways (motor carnage) and will also install a new pump seal. Those should help... just wondering on the too much of a top end on the oem prop...

You shouldn't be having issue, I have used that one for a couple years and its been great even with my 85mm nozzle.
