Isn't the intake charge already cooled by the atomization process anyways?

yeah atomization of the fuel does cool the air, as long as the fuel is cooler than the air. the reason i wanted to try this is that the engine compartment gets pretty hot, and so does the intake, so I figured that cooling the intake couldn't hurt to get denser air into the engine, of course the lines would be run to the intake first and then the rest of the engine.

I have my doubts too, but I haven spent much time on the intake, and I can always test it by disconnecting/reconnecting the water.

Why did you notch the exhaust side of the engine

I bought the cylinder used and it came like that.....no idea why

Sorry about the lack of updates....ive been doing some work on my hull and trying to find a career......however I have most of the motor assembled.....still have the intake manifold (waiting on a new tig), I will probably run a bored manifold for now and get another one to waterjacket (anyone have one they want to donate/or sell for cheap?), my electronics need a serious look over.....I am currently broke so I can not afford a chuck big enough for the lathe to lighten the flywheel, I ended up getting an lpw lightened flywheel...

I should have pics in the next couple of days
