I just purchased a 95 ZXI 900. This is my first ski, though I've ridden a few. Put it in the water, it runs good but has a clutch slipping feel and sound. RPM's go up but ski doesn't accelerate like it should then letting off and gradually giving it throttle it will then keep up. I've heard that it is more than likely a cavitation problem? Is there anything else that it could be? I've noticed alot of wear on the impeller. There is signs that the impeller has slightly rubbed on the housing. I've also noticed alot of damage on the pump. All the bearings feel good and seals don't look like they're in bad shape. Hopefully I can post pictures tomorrow of everything. Just trying to get an idea of what all I should/need to replace. Its pretty costly to do the impeller and jet pump. Do I sound like I'm on the right track? Ok I added Pictures of pump and impeller. Also what are some good after market impellers and pumps?
Thanks for any advice.
