Pro-Tec vs. MSD Enhancer......Difference?

What's the difference in going with a Pro-Tec CDI adjustable rev limiter vs an MSD Enhancer? Do they both accomplish the same thing? The reason I ask is because I can get the Pro-Tec for much cheaper.

i believe the pro tec only raises the rev limiter while the msd raises the limiter and has a different timing curve.

Also the MSD enhancer claims to have five times the spark energy of the stock CDI.

Perhaps at low RPM.
