Blaster Pro tec pipe and riva head cooling set up?

Hello! Iv got a pro tec pipe and riva head and im just wondering where all the hoses goto.

At the moment iv got the inlet at the very bottom of the manifold and theres another hose that connects back to the exhaust near the water box. Now theres another pipe that comes off the manifold with a T joint. 1 of these must goto the head and is the other 1 for the flusher kit?

Also iv put the riva head on and theres a inlet and outlet on there and 1 of them is at a right angle and one of them is straight which is slightly wider then the right angled 1. Does it matter what way round the water passes through?

Hi i just installed a billet atp girdle on my motor last week,had 2 remove the pro-tec cast head due 2 cylinder crack.had to change my coolin hose set up cause the atp head has now 2 outlett holes. i tried a few set-ups but i tink this might be my best (bottom power wise)the main feed from the pump goes to the manifold,through the cylinder and out the 2 top outlets.i ran the 2 outlets together and T off them.then run that hose 2 the bottom of the mid pipe,u can T off that hose also for flushin.then from the top of the mid pipe run that long hose 2 the fittin on the end of the main pipe.that long hose can now be T off again to the pisser so if they are any blocks in the coolin system the pisser will show it.for a little more bottom end stuff in a restrictor in the hose that runs into the fittin on the main pipe,the peice after the T.it allowes just enough water through to the water box so it dont over heat(hence more bottom end hit)For a restrictor i use a top peice from a silicone nozzle pushed down the hose and u can get plastic T offs at de hardwear shop. try this set-up i think u will like it.ive been doin some research on coolin set-ups on this forum for some time now and came up with this.

I don't get it! Iv got the feed from the pump into the bottom of manifold so I know that's right. Then there's the 1 on the manifold at the engine side. Where does that goto? The head? Are the 2 inlets on the head both inlets or is 1 an inlet and 1 outlet? And the other pipe from the manifold goes to the mid pipe near water box with a t joint on for flushing?
 
i dont really get how it all works. Does the water come from the pump into the bottom of the manifold then pass through the manifold into the cylinder and out of the 2 outlets on the head? Back into the manifold and out of the manifold and then into the mid pipe?

Thats a bit of a guess but i will understand it soon lol Bare with me! :)
 
check out this picture, i have the 2 outlets in top of head connected together instead of whats in the picture and just T off that small hose on top and then run to the bottom of the mid pipe. they are lots of different ways of doing it,its down to personall choice. if ur not sure just print in the word cooling into search,ull find tons of stuff.

i think i get it now. So the feed from the pump pushes the water up through the manifold up through the cylinder and out of the head. Thats the bit i didnt understand. ill put the front head outlet to a pissa and the back head outlet to the bottom of the mid pipe? and then the other can goto the bottom of the main pipe with a pissa t off just before a restrictor. What can i use as a restrictor to limit the water that goes into the water box? Dont know what u mean ryan by a silicone nozzle?

Yes that is the way ive my set-up. in the diagram i showed u,1 of the outlets at top goes out to a pisser,but i found that i lost alot of water there when i could have used it to futher cool the mid pipe so that is why i T off it. if u get a new nozzle that comes with a silicone tube and just stuff the narrow top of it down the coolin hose (4mm restrictor tip) right where the last Toff is feedin the water box. then just enough water gets to the water box to keep it cool(not 2 much water) which gives more bottom end power.
 
Ok I get it now. Do you put the restrictor in after the t off so it just restricts water going into the water box or before it so it restricts water going to water box and Pissa?
 
Just put it in the hose right where the red arrow is in the diagram and u should be sorted,but make sure ur water box is gettin water.run the ski on ur garden hose and look at ur exhaust open end,water should be comin out here when u rev ur motor and also out ur pisser.Then go have some fun and get some big air.

Nice 1 thanks for the help. I'll put a 4 mm restrictor in and see how it goes. Iv put a new head, pipe and cdi in so I hope it all runs good! I'll let ya know. Thanks
