Pro Tec Mach II System

Can anyone tell me if they have any experience with this pipe? How does it stack up to the Type 9? Would it be a good pipe for a stroker motor? I know Pro Tec builds some quality stuff.

never used one, but Have always been told that they did make some good power.

Downside, they are heavy. They bolt together at every joint. For your stroker, the Type 9 is going to be your best bet, that or a speedwerx.

They are a three piece pipe. Manifold, First 1/2 of the chamber witch bolts to the manifold, second 1/2 couples to first 1/2. I would agree a touch on the heavy side. But the mounting system is very robust. The pipe is not going anywere. I have a gridled Pro-Tec head and a Mach II and so far I like it. It all came with the ski. Going to run it for now. Stock motor and at the time a Vilder and some other hull parts and it could stay right with a Octane.

Hope this helps.

im glad you have has good luck with your mounting- my experience was the opposite once i started jumping a lot- couldnt keep the pipe on- or it would rattle apart on a full throttle lake crossing- which i love to do- probably a real good pipe for someone (unlike me) who does not ride like a idiot or can actually land an aerial trick right side up-------although what fun is that???

Cheap casting + poor welds = a heavy, damage prone, ugly pipe but I have heard they make decent power.

Have you not made a thread about every single aftermarket pipe ever made? Try searching.

the one I had made good power, and was UNTOUCHED on the boat from the mid 90s until I removed it about a month ago.

with ZERO leaks or problems ever.

It is a BITCHH to remove and install though

The power is similar to a type 4 they were more popular just before the type 9 came out. If I was you just buy it and run it and sell it if you don't like it
