650/X-2 Pricing an SX650

I'm new to the sport and want to know what machine I should go with. I practically stole a JS440 at a tag sale. I decided I needed 2 machines (need someone to ride with) and got a JS550 with West Coast parts but a bad motor (thought I could fix the motor but couldn't).
Now I'm looking at 2 1991 SX650's. One is bone stock, the other is decently modded for $1650 for both.

Should I get rid of my JS's dream and go with the SX deal? Is that good price for the SX's?

Should I stick with the JS's and look for a motor? I read earlier that JS's are more fun to ride.
Thanks

Keep the 550, sell the 440 and buy a superjet, sj for yourself, 550 for the other person. That price on the 650's is fair if not a little high depending on condition, mods, and local market.

My 1st ski was a 650sx lightly modified for $800. It ran strong but it was one problem after another. A little rust and corrosion can add up to a huge headache. If I could go back in time, I would have spent more money on a cleaner ski.
