Prices of skis

Fox

God im so pants at skiing
I was reading the "funny survey" thread and read what YAMASLUT had to say about the makers of these fine toys not appearing to bother to market them. I live in Scotland and there isn't ONE yamaha dealer for jet skis here, the closest is about a 400 mile round trip to the north of England and i don't even live at the north of Scotland. I think people don't buy these things because they take EFFORT to master and effort to get out in the sea and get wet unlike sitting on their FAT ARSES playing "Tekken or GTA"!

Another thing about them is the cost. Unlike a motorbike which can also be used as transport (no matter how impractical they are in our ********e weather) jet skis (as far as i can see) are toys and toys alone. Looking at a dealer in the north of England and a dealer in New York the prices are as follows...

England dealer

Superjet 4,799 pounds
Fx HO 10,699 pounds

New York dealer

Superjet 6,499 dollars
Fx HO 11,299

The exchange rate is about 1 pound equals 2 dollars so would you easily have paid that to get into a sport that isn't that popular and not marketed?? I'm not saying you guys have it cheap because i aint, i see all the mods you guys carry out and that costs a lot but the initial cost to you guys is A LOT CHEAPER......... (plus, look at the cost of petrol here in Britain and in the US)!

P.S. Weather here is rain rain rain rain rain and wind wind wind wind wind wind.

Cheers!

mine is nothing but a toy and although it may be cheaper here than there it still cost me more than i can afford. is it worth it.......YES!

A friend that just bought my SN used to have 2 Kawi 750's. He sold them to a guy here in florida that had a U-Haul truck filled with like 7-8 that he was shipping back to Sweden. This was only about 2-3 years ago.

It sounds like the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Is a good place to be from. lol:beerchug: Talk to the Queensford crew. I know they are a way from U, but they might be able to hook u up with a dealer in your area. On the plus side they have some nice after market chit.
