How much would you pay for a 61x riva top end with porting, 85mm flat-top pistons and riva head. this is coming off of a race ski..would this be a good cylinder or is stock 701 better for just playing around..

I don't know about the price, but I have RIVA "pump gas ported" 61X and it runs well, but it's not a freestyle type of powerband - it doesn't hit right off the bottom. Midrange and top end are quite strong, depending on how you set the water injection screws on The FPP pipe.

Having said that, I sent mine to Paul at JR Magoos & he was about to bring the hit down to where it's OK for freestyle now. Still not ~right~ off idle but close enough for srf use.:sneaky:

O.K.
sounds like it could be a good set up, I just don't want to over pay for this stuff, It's coming of a expert ski racer that has moved over to a sxr, so he's sell some superjet stuff..

is 1200.00 to much to pay for this set-up

I paid $900 for a simialar setup......TLR freestyle ported, brand new 85.5mm flat tops, greater yamaha head with 2 sets of domes. Everything in exclent shape. Hope this helps, id say $1200 is on the high side, or I just got a good deal, not realy sure.

And for 900, you got a freestyle port - that Riva port is not a freestyle port.

OP, save your money. It's several hundred dollars overpriced, once you compare what else you can get.

so any race port cylinder set up for over 1000.00 is not a good deal..

It's too much for a used topend.

For approximately the same amount, you can get a new topend that's actually what you want.

this will not be a good setup for playing around............. unless you like arm ripping top end with little to no bottom, plus, this motor would require alot more maintenance and rebuilds.

That might not be a bad price. There is a lot of $ into some of those race motors. I am just selling a speedworx race ported motor for about the same. My set up didn't hit bad on the bottom. Its going on a buddies blaster with just a single 44 or 46, factory pipe and msd enhancer. He doesnt' freestyle just plays around with his ski and wants more power... it all depends on what you want

it's just riva porting

MY bad the dude, was talking about the top end, so I figured that's what he was selling, This price is for the hole engine, cases, crank, top end, head..

Now that’s a better deal but still not the porting you want for freeride, you could always sell the cylinder on ebay and port another cylinder for freeride.

$1200 is a deal if this is the Tim Judge port job and 85mm flattop setup. This is what I run and it rips on bottom, mid and top. I paid $1000.00 for cylender , near new pistons and speedwerx head. Just know it is higher maintinence do to the wiesco pistons ($180.00 ea.) cracking every season. Is this jetskicrazy / Paul selling this set up?
