someone is selling an 88 650 with ablown motor, should I bother offering him anything for this? I have an SJ and a few 550s. is there any problem dropping that 650 in one of my 550s? any conversion kits I need or is it a plug and play?

I think if its a plug and play Ill offer him $50 but no more than that

what do you guys think?

If its a complete ski with blown engine and all the rest is good , then I would be willing to go up to 250$. But then again, everything is too expensive up here in Canada. And I do have use for all the extra parts.

I remember a thread about using a 650 in a 550 hull and it seemed like it was much mor ethan plug and play from what I remember.

I wouldnt go over $150 cause thats just me......then ya gotta get another motor for a complete or try to part it out

yep I agree 150. 650sx's are some of the cheapest skis out there.

to put a 650 motor in a 550 you have to have a bedplate adapter, and do some creative wiring with the electrical systems. It is not a hard conversion, but you need to know your stuff..........

oh, you will need a much steeper prop.

I wouldnt give a dime for a 650sx!
unless I had a buyer lined up and could make a few bucks.
but that is just my opinion
