Took apart my 650/750sx conversion ski last month, I had just bought it from someone else. I was planning to lighten the flywheel but something caught my eye.
So i decided to take the whole engine apart, because of heavy pitting on the crank snout.
As i dug in i found what appear to be signs of piston seizure ? DO i need new pistons?
I went into the crankcases and found that the crank had been rebuild before but now the main bearings are making noises and are wobbling a lot. Everything else, outer bearings and rods, are in good condition. Being sent out to sbt soon.
Bendix is destroyed and i found signs of water intrusion on the back of the seal.

Still working on cleaning now
Probably going to need do to some carb tuning
Cant wait to get this thing running, especially after the 700 in repair costs, 500 if no new pistons are needed
