pressing a midshaft

After a long three month ordeal, I finally got my OEM midshaft and housing from Jojo Manise. My main problem with the deal is that he was supposed to send the entire unit pressed and ready to go, but did not. I'm not sending it back because I don't have another three months to wait to get it back so what do I do now?

A. Take it to a local dealer to have it pressed.

B. Figure out some way to press it myself without a press. ( I'll need instructions for this.)

C. Take it to a machine shop or something. (I have no idea how the bearings go and can't find the info on a search.)

I paid way too much money and am not happy with the situation but what do I do now?

No like winter
just an idea... as I'm not sure of all the pieces involved...

Put the bearings in the freezer and use a giant oversize socket or something to set them?

Thats how I did my pump rebuild...

All those sound like great ideas but how do the bearings go? I guess I could check with the local dealer first to see how much they want to do it. Maybe it won't be that much.

I forgot!
i just did an oem one a couple weeks ago and i don't have a press either. just take your time and tap the bearing in on the outer race with a short piece of pipe that is the proper diameter. the seals and clips were more difficult then the bearing and shaft imo.

The most important thing to do is to support the housing from the inner ring and protect the threaded end of the shaft. Mine fit loose enough that I could just hold it in my hand and tap the shaft in with a light deadblow hammer.
