I finally got started on my Superjet about 3 weeks ago, I normally tear it down during early winter, but i have been busy with Beau's ski and other stuff. Im going to go to the LSFR (big ocean riding event) in less then 2 weeks, so hopefully i'll be able to finish it up in a week, we will see lol.

This is my ski

It's been a couple years since i painted the bottom of the hull, the white gel-coat was in decent shape, but the epoxy black in the center was a little rough, so i repainted it.

I ended up polishing the gel-coat to turn it white again, it had some lake stains here and there.

I will be painting the nose to help the hood/nose peace look less out of place, so first things first, remove stickers!

The previous owner damaged the nose and covered it with J/B weld and a sticker

Cleaned out the J/B weld

Sanding time

Filled damaged area with miller fibers/epoxy resin

is there any trick to getting your wamiltons chinpad to fit tight in the front? I just bought a used one and it has a gap between the tubes and the pad.

I bought mine new, installed it straight out of the box. The stainless steel tab on your chin pad could be bent.

New coupler installed

For some reason my drive shaft was out of alignment

Took a pair of .040" spacers on each side of the pump to get it back to center.

Flywheel to match

Your probably thinking: why would he paint the flywheel...?

Well you can see my flywheel when it is installed :)
