here a few of mine, the topside held up great, the bottom has peeled from beaching it, BUT I didnt prep the bottom well at all.

it is glossy, but the gloss will go away if you wipe any type of solvent on it. gas doesnt fade it too badly, other solvents though will quickyl haze it ( I tried to remove sticker goo, and turned alot of it to cloudy black)

did you do it in a booth to keep crap out of the finish or just paint it in the garage there?

I like the way you have the hood painted BTW.

I painted it out in the driveway, rolled it into the garage to dry, no plastic sheeting, nothing fancy, it was seriously a $10 20 minute ordeal.

the bad part is, that it shows now, after a year, its rough, mostly my lack of prep work, hurried painting, and then wiping some of it with acetone later.

Ill use it again for somestuff, but I will likely take the time to prep everything better the next time I paint, and after all that effort, i will probably spend $50 on real paint ( albeit CHEAP paint)

barely sanded, and painted.

there was some primer from a previous paint attempt, it was seriously a slacker, rushed, half assed job.

its all in the prep, mine sucks because my prep sucked.

thanks for the compliments!

It looks worse now, but I beat on my stuff, its been washed on and off of a rocky bank several times since then.

I think I used 4 cans or so on it.

its been a while though.

it covers well, goes on thick.

if you dont have a compressor and spray gun its a cheap alternative, if you have a gun and a compressor, a QT of black automotive paint is only slightly more $$$

Painted mine with the cheap stuff from PepBoys. Cost something like $40 to do my whole ski, including clear coat.
