Well it looks like the full spectrums my ski came with are :arms: the hot set up right know. so for the time being i am going to try to work with those. But it still leave me with a "race ported" motor. Would a new top end be what i am looking for to get the bottom and mid range i want? How do i get ahold of a good engine builder? Does anyone have a damn good top end for sale?

Do you guys prefere the the B-pipe over the Speedwerx dry pipe?

info is appriciated

curretly have a full speedwerx race motor and the speedwerx pipe
vidler total loss
and fs 48's

Best bet would be choose who you are going to have port your topend, then talk the setup with them.

magoos, tlr, team scream, keith head all have great reviews

are you looking for something now?

i am considering on selling my Lamey setup.

i have a few options i have been toying around with:
1- go back to a limited 701 and run max compression (i really like the 701 hit on the bottom end)

2- might look towards the ADA cylinder, or big CC motor

3- keep mine and run it as it, which there is nothing wrong with it

I am not selling it now, as of right now just an idea for after the summer

i may also be selling the whole ski(s) too, no sure, i've got the race car bug again, but there's not track near us, unless we decide to go oval, and the cops on the water here take ALOT of fun out of the whole deal of being out there

Paul from JrMagoos did my setup, there are some other reputable builders too.
there will be a new (well not really new) but another player to enter the high-end market soon too. He's wieghing the options now, and i can't give those details out yet (although it's at least a year away if he decides to get into it).

One other person who was into strokers back in the day, not sure if he still is into it now, is Marty in Chicago from Oasis perfromance. Super nice guy to talk to, but my last conversation with him was he went into MX bikes.

Lamey's make some nice power, but remeber it comes at a cost.

Paul can also setup you up with a 760cyl too, they are cheaper and work good too.

I just spent the past two days with Chuck (Team Scream) and Pat (XMetalworks) putting my ski together and I have nothing but high regard for this duo (Chuck does the motor magic and Pat proves it and makes Chuck push the limits to make it even better:)).

Chuck has a ton of porting tricks (or better worded, knowledge) up his sleeve and tons of experience. He is open to making any cylinder you want breathe (Lamey, ADA, Yamaha).

Give him a call (727) 442-7700 or give Pat a call (727) 449-9353.

Joe, i think you're right in the ballpark you need to be with your lamey, you just need a bump in compression. You shouldnt be near 130, since parr is only getting 150 ish with his 5 mil plus full specs, and i think (repeat, think) total loss.

Zach do you already have the speedwerx pipe? Or do you have a B you can get excellent low end with one And if thats what you have already save yourself the hassle of trying to get a hard to find B and selling your speedwerx as it already is a great pipe.
