Is there a BIG difference between porting for bottom end vs porting for full race course engine ? example : would a full race eng be good for a freestyle ski or will it lack on the bottom end power ?
For low end the ports are wider for top end they are higher.It is possible to get bottom end back on a race cylinder with the likes of water injection.
Most builders port differently, talk to a builder with your requirements. I personnaly prefer an engine that accelerates quickly rather than bottom end grunt
If you want instant hit off idle then yes there is a big difference. If you're already riding at 1/8 throttle or more (on a standup) the differences are less.
