300/440/550 Port crank in a reed motor ??

Will a older style js550 port engine crank work in a newer style 1991+ js 550 reed Motor ??

why wont they work? i've used the newer sx cranks in port timed motors. gordie actually pulled a crank out of a 1994 550 for me for my 1987 motor. the cases are diffrent but the cranks are the same.

i used one in my ski works fine

It is the one of the few parts that will interchange,the seals are also the same and the reed pistons will fit in the PP engine.Whoever said no has NO idea

Truth. I read the question wrong. I for some reason thought he was talking about 550 and 650. Must have read something similar before I Read that. My apologies for being illiterate.
