Super Jet pop off pressure issue?

2011 superjet. I have a b pipe and am spark arrestors, the jettings and specs supplied from factory pipe and blowsion for the pipe. It was running great 2 days ago then ran out of gas. Took it out today and it ran okay idling and anything from half throttle up ran good but if I would run at 1/4 it will run for about 3 to 5 seconds it will begin to die. I have left the stock pop off spring in. Does anyone think this could be from the pop off spring? Thanks

Like water in the engine or in the gas? I may switch back to the original spark arrestor. But im currently on vacation and my stock parts are 500+ miles. I'm sure ill try to run it again tomorrow and see what happens. I hope it isnt in the gas because I have a full tank. Lol

Ill have to pull the carbs and check them tomorrow. Make sure its not getting a bunch of junk in them. I put the pipe on and have only taken it out 2 or 3 times before this had happend so it may be some junk in the carb.

What is your popoff? Stock is 53 and that is likely too high for am filters. Read the mikuni manual. If it has a lean hesitation about 1/4, you may want to drop the popoff and go down a size on the pilot. I'm running a stock box with 135/75 at 52 and I have a lean hesitation at 1/4. I'm going to drop the popoff to 30 and see what happens.

Stock is 1.5 with 115 at 53. Buying a 2.3 seat and 65 spring would give lots of good options. A 65 spring would make it 32 or a 2.3 seat would make it 22. The 2.3 with the 65 would give you 18. That stuff is in the mikuni charts.

Oh, and if it was running great, then ran out of gas, now runs like crap, I would agree you sucked some crap out of the bottom of the tank and clogged something. Anything is possible and what you describe could be related to the popoff but if the popoff was right, then that is not your issue. It could just be a random coincidence but if your needle and seat did fail your popoff would be low. Simply test the popoff when you have them off to clean and inspect.
