The beer cooler foam is the same as boat dock foam I think, but the dock foam I think is stronger. I have looked and looked in south-south TX, but could find none. I'm up in AR right now and was in Hot Springs trying to find trailer parts and whatnot and a guy at the boat store said I could just have the foam out back. I was skeptical at first and when I got home I cut off the end and the foam less than an inch deep is good, although I'll most likely use foam from deeper in the core.
The brown stuff on the top cut is just rust from the saw, and that stuff is tough!!!
