Plug Chop Results, Does anything look wrong with these?

I am getting compresion readings ranging from 170-198psi. As I am not a pro engine tuner, I was hoping someone will know if these plugs show signs of detonation or if they look good.

I am running a limited pipe and 35cc domes on a new motor, 72.5pilot 135main 95gram spring, and 93 octane. This was running the warmed up motor all out for maybe 15 seconds, chopping and swimming it in. I feel they look good, but I could be wrong.

What do you think...

Well that cant be good, should they be wet? I was all thinking they look good and tan too. Keep in mind my compression gauge reads 198psi and I am running 93 octane.

Yeah, the ski is running really well. Now that I think about it, I did back the highs down a little after looking at those. I am just worried about detonation, as my compression seems way too high for pump gas.

Well I thought I wouldn't be going WOT that often but I have found that I am typically all over the RPM range. I would like to not have to worry about extended WOT runs, I really need to get an accurate gauge to test PSI with. Do these plugs show signs of deto??? The pictures seem to look worse than the plugs looked in person. Before any of the mods when this motor was stock from the factory, I did a plug chop and the plug coloration was just like "cardboard". Could tthe fact that I am now running at 40:1 instead of 50:1 cause a funny coloration?

Thanks for the assistance,

I should pull the head, but those RIVA girdle bolts suck royaly.

Do you have any links or pictures of a piston suffering from deto would look like?

Should I run a plug chop before removing the head?

The red tint may be partially caused from the fuel, additives in unleaded will do that and normal on 4 cycle motors.

That is a good point, what about the oil? As much as I would like to run Klotz, I cannot seem to bring myself to order oil. I am running Yamalube at 40:1, could this oil cause the rusty tint?

This may be a stupid question, but those plugs were BRAND NEW, and then had 15 seconds put on them...right?

I just can't see it.

They can't be new and look that hot/rusty. I have found in the last 3 months that putting new plugs in and then doing a plug chop don't show me anything. I will put set in and check after a couple of hours of running to see how they look. If I check em 30 minutes after installed-they still look like new/un run plugs.

That's basically what I do too....I probably give 'em 15 to 20 minutes though.

Those plugs are not new at all, they have seen maybe 20 gallons of fuel at this point. I dont understand how they are "hot", don't they get white when they are run hot? Or am I confusing hot with lean? The motor seems to run really well.
