I bought a bunch of Yamaha parts from a chick who's boyfriend took off and left it all in her garage. Some was Yamaha, some Sea Doo.
This carb is like new, if not new. Doesn't even smell like fuel.
Measures about 39.70 It's a Mikuni.
Anybody got any ideas?

it looks like an I body Makuni. I think they're 40's. It has an accelerator pump so it comes from a sit down. probably a seadoo or possibly a PV yamaha. Most of the parts on it are interchangeable with a normal SBN 44 or 38.

an SXR carb is the same without the accelerator pump.

I used these carbs on my PV800 superjet. I pulled the accelerator pumps off and It worked fine for me. People say these are more fuel economy carbs.

Carb came stock on a Seadoo GTS-GTI with a 720 engine,I used one of these on my 720 in the X2,with the accel pump you get a very clean idle and a good hit off the bottom also you no longer need a primer kit, just work the throttle about ten times and fire it up.

That carb is also used as the rear carb on a set of dual carbs for the 787 engine with the jetting adjusted for dual carbs of course.

720's never had dual carbs with accel pumps only singles, the 98 and up 787 engine did use dual carbs with an accel pump on the rear carb and a tee going to the front carb, however that particular carb is for a 720 engine,if it were from a 787 the throttle cable bracket would be still be there it but would be used for the oil pump cable. You can see in the third pic that there is a separate hex looking nut coming off the throttle shaft, that is where the oil pump cable hooks up on a 720.
