There is no reason to rejet with just adding a pipe, I ran a Sizzler with my stock 6m6 without rejetting and it ran great! Just keep playing with the carb. Honestly its not an easy thing to do, you can go hours just messing with the needles. Yeah i hear ya about daytona, there is not one part on my hull besides the pole..i have soo much work to do

ok so the white color means I am way too lean right?
I need more fuel?
how is it that I get different colors on plugs?(one brownish and one white)

I had a Coffman pipe on my 650, and it didn't use stock jetting. I think the main was 135 with everything else stock. I'm using it on a 701 now with a different carb and jetting. I tried different cooling setups and that made a difference on how it ran too. I have the instructions from Coffmans somewhere. Call them and they'll fax them to you. It's easy to change jets. I still have the carb I used with this pipe in the garage for $75 shipped if you want it.

how did you run your cooling lines ?
what shape is it(carb)?

The top front fitting of the head pipe to a pisser. This is the one that points straight up. The other front fitting to the head. The rear fitting on the head pipe goes to the stinger with a tee in the middle going to another pisser. I'd take a picture if I didn't have the motor apart right now. This is the way the Coffman instructions run the cooling lines.

The carb is in good shape. Ran fine when I took it off the 650. I was just keeping it to sell with the pipe when/if I can find a deal on a b-pipe.

edit - here's a pic I saved of someone else's setup. Just switch the two front hoses, and put a tee in the line to the stinger. I ran mine the way it was posted in the pic, and it didn't run as good for some reason.

SJ I run it for 5-10 minutes
pistonwash didnt really change.
is it normal that sparkplugs look different(one is white and other brownish)?

thats the way I have it exepct for the Tee to the pisser, I run Jetworks valve
and was told not to put any Tee's from the headpipe to the stinger.

I'm not going to Daytona. :frown:

edit : I can ship it next day if you want to pay for it, or if somebody in KY is going and wants to bring it. I know how it is trying to get parts before a weekend that you've been planning.
