Cracker – all going extremely well up here, but still pushed flight into San Diego back to Sunday the 9th for peace of mind.
1. Lookin to drop off ski to you 2nite with a tentative eta into Sebby of 7:30pm. Call b4 5:30 today with green light please (out on appts all day). Can push back drop off til 2mrrw nite if needed, but prefer not to…running a tight schedule these days and never know what’s gonna pop up.
2. Will bring check for EJ’s second ski too (same deal: refund that portion if I have to bail still stands, but you keep the other as I offered unless another ski takes my b1’s spot). Left you a text message, but guessing you don’t have cell handy. Let know what works best for you, and I'll attempt to accommodate.:smile:
Lisa - saw your post some time back about camping, so thanks...checking into the option (stumbled across your myspace and it appears I have to reserve a spot just to drive the rental onto the beach anyway). Fig I can always pitch a tent and and do a hotel at the same time (lol).

Question here for any of the Cali boys whom have traveled cross country before: will a trailer with the thin little tires be a problem? I'm concerned for Cracker and Munkie! Will those tires burn up on them with that far of a distance? Prob pulling around 8-900lbs. I thought those little tires got hot really quickly is all. I don't want the guys to have a blow out. Skis can be replaced, but they can't.
Cracker - just my my reservations. Asked if they were transferable to you in case I opted for a room once there, but they said no. The number for reservations is 800/444-7275.

As long as the wheel bearings are in good shape, they don't try to set any land speed records they should be fine. They just need to check tire temps when they stop for gas to make sure they aren't getting to hot. I know a guy who towed a couch from p-cola to san diego using one of those trailers with no problems at all.

Bring extra spares at least two, we blew out two tires the first time we went, but those tires were pretty old. Good luck ..

Yea, Im a little sketch on Mike's tire choice. We still have two spares, and the little arse tires are brand new. If someone thinks that those tires are not a good Idea for a 1k load please say something. I will buy some bigger wheels and tires.

Yea I here ya. But its bad enough I am gona drive for 48hrs straight to be there for a little more then 60hrs, then driving back for 48hrs. That is about 100hrs of driving, 60hrs of ridin and partying. If I have issues with blowouts, that is even more driving time.
Right now this Vodka and Cranberry has me :banghead: Not the most leisure Vacation, and only two drivers. I just want to get there....

Come on now, we drove out to Florida twice, so I know how you feel. I know that you will have a great experience driving across county and at Pismo. We just have regular 13" tires and that made it, if you have a couple of spares you should be okay. Good luck,

Alll these guys do is complain ..... and make no better suggestions....a week before trip all this crying is coming out..
Two points: 1. that trailer is solid and the tires are brand new .....if something does happen it doesn't take a rocketscientist to fix(but nothing will as long as you keep an eye on the situation)....
2. Stop bitching and get pump.....WE GOING TO CALI BITCH...

$850 was no where near enough, this is the last time I do this.... Think of the Wear and tear on my truck, not to mention wear and tear on my body. Taking off work ext. Live and learn :frown:

You were the one who wanted to do it.....so remember nobody twisted your arm.....WEAR AND TEAR ON YOUR BODY lol.....that must be a joke.......those tires will last longer than any part of your truck....walmart sells them...they are good...... if anybody has anything to lose its me......2($6000) ski and $1000 tralier and no insurance on either(with someone who has already lost a hood driving a short distance)but i strapped my skis down..... so theres noway im losing anything.......Do you hear me crying? And i also spent the most money on the trip......Stop being so scared!....Your gonna realize its no big deal when you get back.......And just to look back.......We(chris and I) fixed you a boat to ride...... I gave you a rn hood and nose piece for FREE thats more money your not spending.....CRACK your not losing anything(except your mind)......Alll your doing is gaining an experiance most don't get.....5500 miles on a 05 nissan is nothing so thats out.....and you just bought a 10,000 plus 600rr......weeks after we plan on going to cali and your crying about money....How does this make sense? I think you been talking to Qzi too much...:aargh4:
