How much power in HP do you get from the Facotry B pipe, I was having a conversation with a buddy of mine about pipe, asking him if i should spent the $125 more on the Wam Mod Pipe for the extra 3hp when he asked how much power i would get from the pipe I said around 20hp...he said try like 6hp

He rides sleds....

Do you guys know anything i got this pict from another post of mine but its the dry pipe

You are asking about a B-Pipe.

What you have a picture of is not a B-pipe.

yes, thats the only hp spec i could dig up on any pipe, i figured they would be close...
thats how i came up with 20hp (yes i know it says 22)

20Hp may be a bit optimistic, but I'd say that is much closer than the figure your friend gave you.
Asking a sled guy about jetski engines is can be misleading.
If a motor has a good stock pipe, then an aftermarket pipe won't bring that much gain. A good example of this are some Seadoo motors.
However, the stock pipe on the Superjet isn't a pipe at all. :lmao:
It's a freaking box. So any aftermarket pipe is quite an improvement.

Yes.

Your friend is assuming that the stock pipe is quite decent - like on a sled.

That's why he is guessing at such a low improvement number (6HP) for the Factory Pipe.
He doesn't understand or know that the stock pipe is utter crap. That's why the Factory Pipe does bring close to 20HP improvement.
Does that make sense?

EDIT: The short answer is, your friend is wrong.

Radney at X Scream can also sell you a B' pipe system that has been modified to maximize the HP you can get out of a 'b pipe for freestyle/freeride setup, Wamiltons modified pipe setup is pretty conservative in my opinion.

I have the xscream chamber and it hits really really hard on a stock 701 with prop and a pipe compared to my original mod pipe I had.

Exactly what Matt said. Sled pipes are decent right out of the box. Stock Superjet exhaust is a different story. B-pipes are supposedly worth 17 extra horsepower.
